| Mysterious death: Mother alleges ‘rape & murder” by her employers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Nov 21: As a 14-year-old girl reportedly died under mysterious circumstances at the residence of her employers today, her mother alleged that she was killed by her employers.
Leveling serious allegations including rape, Noor Jahan Begum of Swari-Rajouri mother of deceased Rubiya Akhtar in a press conference here today said, “Her daughter raped and then murdered by one Mohd Bashir, Junior Engineer in R&B department and his other brothers. She further alleged that she was even threatened by a doctor Abdul Rashid, brother in law of Mohd Bashir for dire consequences if she raises the matter.
She said that Mohd Bashir and his wife Narseem Akhtar took her daughter with them with the assurance of her better future on the contrary to this she was continuously raped by JE and his brothers and finally they killed her.
She further alleged that she went to the police station to lodge report against them but of no avail.
SSP Rajouri Vijay Singh Sambyal when contacted said that a case under section 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection and reports of postmortem is awaited for further investigation.
