| Governor to inaugurate 4 day Philatelic Exhibition on 23rdNovember | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu. November 21,2011
Jammu will host a mega Philately Exhibition for four days under the title ‘Jammu Stamps Show 2011’ from 23 to 26 November 2011 at Kala Kendra. Launch of ‘My Stamps’ will be one of the major highlights of the Exhibition. This exhibition will showcase more than 1 lakh rare and valuable stamps issued by India and other countries, said Mr John Samuel, Chief Post Master General, J&K. The first postage stamp ‘Penny Black’ will be the star attraction of this Stamp Exhibition. People will get to see very old and worthwhile stamps issued in pre-independence era, stamps on Jammu & Kashmir, stamps on Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Jammu heroes, Harry Potter, Hollywood, Indian cinema, Railways, science & technology, flora and fauna, environment, etc
Shri N.N.Vohra, His Excellency the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir will inaugurate the Philatelic Exhibition on 23rd November, 2011. This exhibition will kick start the Post Office Festival in Jammu.
The exhibition will be open from 10 am to 6 p.m on all the four days and entry to the exhibition is free.
