| Bhupinder of Punjab lifts Nagrota Kesari dangal title | | |
JAMMU, Nov 21: Ace wrestler Bhupinder of Ajnala in Punjab clinched the 17th Nagrota Kesari dangal title outplaying Goldi, again of Punjab in the main bout to fetch a cash prize of Rs 12,000 at Sainik School Nagrota, near here.
The cash prize was given away by chief guest, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Devinder Singh Rana. He also awarded Rs 9,000 to runners-up wrestler, Goldi. President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided.
In the second main bout, Palla of Himachal Pardesh emerged winner beating Narinder. In another fight for second bout, Sukha of Rajasthan downed Rashpal of Anjala. Both these winners wrestlers were given away a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each while runners-i[ got Rs 8,000 each. Third main bout was won by Satish of Jullandhar outplaying Chittra of Himachal Pardesh.
In all, 35 bouts were played in this one day long dangal, which was organised by Nagrota Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Others Results: Ravinder of Ajnala bt Kalu of Jammu, Jakker bt Manjoor, Joginder of Delhi bt Kala of Doom Chjarri, Kalu of Jammu bt Subash of Delhi, Narinder of Ajanala bt Monu of Haryana, Vicky of Ajnala bt Hardeep of Doom Charri, Ram Pal of Punjab bt Bobari of Jammu, Hira of Doom Charri bt Davinder of Pargwal, Rakesh Kumar of PAP bt Liqat Ali of Panthal, Balli of Sidra bt Roshan of Pargwal, Shotu bt Vijay, Gopal Sharma bt Billu. Bout played between Murad Ali of Nagrota and Jagga of Ajnala ended in a draw.
Members of organizing committee and those technical officials, who helped in smooth conduct of dangal were Madan lal Sharma, Namberdar Kulwant Singh, Neeraj Kumar, Ashu Sharma, Numberdar Tej Ram, JE Narinder Kumar, (Nenu Shah), Som Dutt Khajuria, Mohd. Fareed, Om Parkash Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Virender Sharma and lashman Singh.
