Khoda reviews security arrangements Stresses sustained vigil to consolidate peace

Jammu, Nov 22 (KNS): The Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Kuldeep Khoda has expressed satisfaction over the security scenario in Jammu Division. He stressed on maintaining pressure on the f anti-national elements, who, he said look for opportunities to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere.
Khoda was chairing a high level security review meeting at Police Control Room here today. The meeting was attended by senior officers from police, para-military forces, intelligence and civil administration.
Khoda stressed upon the officers for maintaining continuous vigil on the activities of anti-national elements and trouble makers. He said that the activities of such elements have been curbed and there is need for continuing pressure upon them to foil their nefarious designs. He said with the cooperation of the people we have been able to mount pressure on elements inimical to peace, exhorting this suffocating atmosphere for them.
The high level meeting also discussed the security arrangements made in connection with the visit of His Excellency the President of India to Jammu from November 25. All the officers related with the visit including senior officers from CRPF and Intelligence informed the meeting that all necessary arrangements have been put in place well in advance.
Additional Director General of Police, (Security), Dr. Ram Lubhaya briefed the meeting about the security arrangements made in connection with the visit of VVIP. He said that proper briefing have been made to all men and officers put on security duties at different locations.
ADGP Headquarters, D R Dolley gave a detailed chart of deployment of personnel for the visit. She said that sufficient manpower has been deployed with required equipment in all the areas. Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mr. Dilbag Singh informed the meeting that besides required manpower intelligence agencies have been activated to gather the information about the activities of anti-national elements and their inputs are discussed with other security agencies.
The DGP emphasised upon the officers for maintaining close coordination among various agencies to ensure the smooth visit. He said that the intelligence inputs should be shared and discussed with each other and all preventive measures taken collectively to foil ill-designs of anti national elements, who would try to invite attention of the people by making some disruptive attempts. He stressed on making effective arrangements and conducting a rehearsal in advance to make the arrangements fool proof. He said that all requirements of equipment projected by various agencies related with the visit would be fulfilled forthwith and any deficiencies of manpower worked out in advance.
