All Insurance Employees Association holds meet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , November 22 : Under the banner of All India Insurance Employees Association, the employees of LIC & GIC of India held lunch hour demonstration in front of their respective offices all over J&K state led by Com Dalip Koul Zonal President NZGIEA, Com A.M Tantray Divisional president and com. Romesh Chand Divisional Joint Secretary NZIEA Srinagar Division against the Insurance amendment Bill. They were opposing the two new Bills introduces in the parliament seeking to increase the FDI in insurance sector from 25 % to 49 % and to enhance the government equity in LIC from 5 crores to 100 crores. Speaking on the occasion Com Ramesh Chander said that there is no need to increase the government equity in LIC as LIC is sufficient enough to generate resources and is still holding more than 74 % of the insurance market. The only motive of the government behind this move is to extract the hard earned money of people of the country which they has to saved in LIC, and hand it over to multinationals enabling them to take money out of the country. Demonstrations were led by Com S K Bhat, Karan at Unit- 2 Jammu, Com Rajesh Kumar at Jammu-1, Jagdish at R S Pura , Kaamal at Kathua, Khaliq at Rajouri, and S C Dogra at Udhampur and Tilak at Samba.
