Delegation of Trade, industry Jammu calls on Pandey | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 23:A delegation from Trade & Industry, Jammu met the Commissioner Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey at the Excise and Taxation Complex today. Commissioner Commercial Taxes Gazanffer Hussain and Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes, (Administration), Jammu RK Koul were also present on the occasion. The delegation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu was led by its president YV Sharma, whereas the delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu was led by its Co-Chairman TS Reen. Commissioner Secretary Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey was apprised of the various problems being faced by the trading fraternity of Jammu Division. Main issues highlighted by Chamber of Commerce and Industry Included working of Wall Mart, problems being faced by dealers on account of suspected undervaluation of goods and issues regarding non-issuance of declaration forms. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, also demanded setting up of a Centralized Receipt Counter in the Commercial Taxes Department. Federation of Industries Jammu, drew the attention of Commissioner Secretary Finance, to the problems being encountered by them regarding charging of Entry Tax at Lakhanpur, on machinery sent outside the state for repairs as also on the import of spare parts for their machinery. The issue of non issuance of “C” forms by some States in respect of transactions made prior to the accounting year 2009-10 was also highlighted. Commissioner Secretary Finance gave a patient hearing to the representatives of Trade & Industry and assured them that all their genuine concerns shall be suitably addressed and all possible efforts would be made to settle their problems in a time bound manner.
