| Animal Husbandry Dept holds awareness camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 23:An impressive awareness camp was organized by Animal Husbandry Department Block Bhalwal at Domana today. More than 200 farmers from Domana and surrounding villages attended the camp.
Dr Pran Kaul Block Veterinary Officer Bhalwal presided over the function. He welcomed all the participants.
He while interacting with the farmers deliberated upon various schemes taken by the department for increasing the self employment opportunities especially in dairy and poultry sector. He highlighted about Dairy Entrepreneurs Development Scheme and Poultry Venture Capital Fund Scheme besides Live stock Insurance Scheme. He further elaborated on the benefits of Artificial Insemination practices especially in buffaloes.
The programme was also attended and addressed by Dr Bindra, Mobile officer, Dr Fyaiz, Dr Jyoti, Dr Mohit Veterinary Assistant Surgeons.
Prominent citizens of the area especially Panchs & Sarpanch attended the camp
The programme was concluded by Dr. Rajnesh Gupta VAS Domana who thanked all participating officers and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
