| Team -The Mechanix SMVDU notches top 100 in SAE INDIA 2012 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , November 23 : Team “The Mechanix” comprising 17 students under SAE INDIA ( Society for Automoibile Engineers, India) SMVDU Collegiate Club from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University brings laurels to the state and the university when their car design was selected among the designs of other colleges across the country including IITs and NITs.
About 300 colleges across the country registered for the event known as BAJA SAEINDIA- 2012 which aimed for designing and fabricating an All Terrain Vehicle which will cost around 3.5 lakh rupees.
SMVDU notches top 100 design category and selected for the second round. All these students are working under Dr. Navdeep Malhotra (Senior Faculty Advisor) and Yatheshth Anand (Faculty Advisor) for the SAE INDIA SMVDU Collegiate Club.
Members of the team “The MechaniX” whose ignited labour brought this success are : Akhil Mahajan (Team Leader) , Varun Sharma, Sidharth Mahajan , Hitesh Sharma ,Ritish Sharma, Akshay Bakaya, Keshav Salgotra, Aditya Badyal, Manik Sharma, Sushant Sharma ,Akash Sharma, Nitin Badyal, Vivek Sharma,Nipun Sharma, Aditya Kerni, Dixit Gupta and Sanchit Koul.
