Horticulture employees warned of "no day no pay " in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Nov 23 : Taking a serious note of officials remaining unauthorised absent from duty, the horticulture department has ordered an inquiry against three officers who had been suspended after they were found absent.
Officials said here today that it has been decided that the employees who will remain absent from duty will not be paid for that period.
They said Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Horticulture Produce Marketing Corporation (JKPMC) Limited, Syed Rafiq Ahmad during his surprise inspection to Apple Grading and Packing Centre (AGPC), Chadoora, Zonal Office Pulwama, AGPC Chowdrigund Shopian and District Office Kulgam found 3 officers absent from duty and placed them under suspension with immediate effect.
The General Manager (Finance) has been advised to conduct enquiry in the matter and submit the report to Managing Director within two weeks.
Those suspended included Zonal Manager, Pulwama, S A Ashawari, District Incharge Shopian, Iqbal Malik.
The Managing Director asked the officers to attend their duties in time.
He said "No Duty No Pay", will be applicable to these officers.
Managing Director said any official who fail to report to his duties has no right to claim wages for these days.
He further said almost all the officials have been conveniently posted in their respective localities.
The performance of the officers and officials shall be judged from their weekly, fortnightly and monthly work done statements.
