127th standing committee meet of J&K State Sports Council held | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 24: The government will engage more coaches for the popular games of the state in a bid to chisel sports talent and make player competitive, besides regularizing the services of coaches working with the council. The decision to this effect was taken in the127th Standing Committee Meet of J&K State Sports Council, held here today under the Chairmanship of Minister for Youth Services and Sports R S Chib. The meeting was convened to review the functioning of Sports Council. The meeting decided that the proposal for conducting any event by any Association should go through the Sports Council. A Committee was also constituted to monitor the performance of the coaches. The Secretary was asked to submit the list of sports activities conducted by the Council during last three years. Meeting also confirmed the minutes of 126th standing committee meeting. A-two minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the departed souls of Pardesh Kumar, Vijay Pal, Chaman Lal and Satpal, who were associated with the Council. Among others, Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services and Sports B A Runiyal, Secretary, J&K State Sports Council Kiran Wattal, Joint Secretary, (K) Sports Council Prof. B A Shah, Joint Secretary, (J) Sports Council Siddarth Sharma, Besides Members Sheikh Fazal Ahmad, Peer Siraj-ud-Din, Dushant Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra and Romesh Mahajan were also present in the meeting.
