Rs 13.9 cr provided for setting up IGU’s | | | Early Times Report BANDIPORA, Nov 24: Grameen Bank has advanced Rs. 13.9 crore to the unemployed youth in the rural areas of Bandipora district during past seven months for setting up of their own income generating units (IGU’s). This was disclosed at an awareness camp organised by the bank authorities at Arin Bandipora today. It was informed that the bank plan provided incentives for setting up of income generating units under Agriculture, Social Welfare, Small Scale Industries besides Educational, Housing and Micro Credit sectors. Besides the officers of the Grameen Bank and allied departments, the representatives of NABARD and a large number of people participated in the awareness camp. Speakers on the occasion stressed the unemployed persons to come forward and take benefits from employment guaranteed schemes launched by the Central and State Governments to earn their livelihood, instead of hankering behind Government jobs
