Div Com reviews arrangements for Haj arrivals | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 24: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today convened a high level meeting of the Officers of Srinagar, Budgam Districts and other concerned agencies to review the arrangements being made for providing required facilities to Haji Sahiban at their arrival on November 30, 2011. Meeting discussed threadbare various issues relating to arrival of Haj Flights, reception, arrival timings, airlifting of luggage and Holy Water (Aab-e-Zam Zam), deployment of Home Guards volunteers, heating arrangements at Reception lounge besides vehicle passes to attendants,erection of Shamiyana, transport arrangements for Jammu and Ladakh pilgrims. It was also decided that un-interrupted power supply at Haj House, medical facilities, fire and emergency services, sanitation in and around Haj House, regulation of traffic, security, Public Address System would be provided by the concerned agencies. Meeting was told that all the necessary arrangements have already been put in place by the concerned agencies including Haj Committee and Airport Authority of India for ensuring smooth return of Hajjis to their native places. Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir informed the meeting that the first flight carrying Haj Pilgrims will arrive at Srinagar Airport on 7.45 a.m. on November 30, 2011 while the arrival timing of the second flight will be at 1.45 p.m. and that of third flight is scheduled at 2.45 p.m. It was also said in the meeting that the attendants of Hajjis would be issued multi colour passes for entering the airport. The passes for entering into the Airport to the attendants will be issued by respective Deputy Commissioners while the passes to the attendants of Srinagar Hajjis will be issued at Haj House Bemina.
