Drug Control continues raids to curb spurious medicines | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 24: On the instructions of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, the Deputy Drug Controller, Nazir Ahmed alongwith Police and Drug Control officials raided the whole-sale hub of medicines at Dar Building Complex, Maisuma. The officials lifted 27 samples of medicines of various companies and sent them for analysis. The wholesalers assured that they would strictly adhere to the provisions of the Drug Act and in case of any contravention action can be taken against them. Meanwhile, the Drug Control Organisation in other districts including Budgam, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kupwara, Leh and Kargil conducted raids and inspections of the medical shops and directed the medical shop owners to adhere to the provisions of the Drug Act. Divisional Commissioner has urged public to lodge complaints confidentially against any medical shop found violating the Drug Act.
