| ICDS Project Ghagwal organizes training camp for adolescent girls | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 24: ICDS Project Ghagwal organized 6-days training camp of adolescent girls (Sakhi Sahali) under Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for empowerment of adolescent girls
During the camp, adolescent girls were made aware about the concept to serve several purposes, development of leadership, abilities, team spirit, motivation understanding democracy at a very fundamental level and providing information guidance to peers.
The identified girls i.e Sakhi and Sahali trained as per prescribed module at the project level and under the training Sakhi-Sahali were motivated to participate in regular activities in AWC like providing pre-school education, SNP, growth monitoring and will also accompany the AWW for home visits, which will serve as training ground for future.
Among others, President of Mahila Mandal, Sarpanchs and Panchs of village, teachers of educational institutions of the village and prominent citizens of the village were present on concluding day of the camp.
