| DIC organizes symposium on environmental pollution | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 24: District Information Centre (DIC) Udhampur organized a symposium contest on the Topic “Environmental Pollution” in the premises of Anand Bhartiya Vidyalaya, Ban Rattian near Udhampur .
As many as 14 students participated in the contest. The participants depicted their serious concern over the increasing environmental pollution and stressed for the conservation of our environment for the survival of human being.
Chairman of the host school, K L Abrol was the chief guest while Principal of the host school, Ritu Abrol presided over the function. Manisha Katoch of 9th class adjudged first while Isha of 7th class and Shivangi Sharma of class 4th stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the symposium contest. Besides Meenu Sharma and Anjali both of 6th class begged consolation prizes.
While speaking on the occasion, chairman of the school appreciated efforts of Information Department to hold such contest in the rural areas. Information Department also distributed prizes and certificates among the participants of the contest.
