| DC Ramban reviews Moharram arrangements | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Nov 24: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Shabir Ahmad Khan reviewed the arrangements made for observance of ensuing Moharram.
The meeting was attended by ADC Ramban, ACR Ramban, CMO Ramban, Dy SP Hqr, Tehsildar Ramban and representative of Shia community. Threadbare discussion was held on various issues in consultation with representative of Shia community.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban laid stressed on maintenance of hygiene, provision of regular drinking water supply, provision of adequate essential commodities, checking of market to ensure the sale of qualitative goods and keeping a strict vigil in the area. He also directed Executive Engineer PDD Batote to ensure the uninterrupted power supply in the Imam Bara Chanderkote during night hours during the days of observance of Moharram. It was also decided that a temporary medical camp shall also be established near Imam Bara during these days besides making available an Ambulance and doctor on the day of procession. |
