| 6-day training programmes for Adolescent Girls held at Billawar | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Nov 24: Under Rajiv Gandhi schemes for empowerment of Adolescent Girls (SABLA scheme) Child Development Project Office Billawar organized 6- day training programmes at Darmani w.e.f November 14 to November 19 at Phinter, from November 17 to November 22 and at Seri moon panchayat from November 18 to November 23 in which 90 Sakhi Sahalis participated.
It is pertinent to mention here that The SABLA scheme aims at empowering Adolescent Girls of 11-18 years by improving their nutritional and health status, upgradation of home skills, life skills and vocational skills.
Assistant Child Development Officer, Billawar Neelam Bala awarded the participants about the basic objectives of the training programme. She also highlighted the various schemes implemented by Social welfare Department in the district.
