| Dy Com Ramban reviews ‘arrangements for ‘Moharram’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: Shabir Ahmad Bhat (KAS) Deputy Commissioner, Ramban today in a specially convened meeting reviewed the arrangements made for observance of Moharram w.e.f 25-26.
During the meeting various points were discussed at length in consultation with representative of Shia Community and after having thorough discussions on the subject the chairperson Deputy Commissioner Ramban laid stress on maintenance of hygiene, provision of regular drinking water supply, provision of adequate essential commodities.
Besides this he laid stress on checking of market to ensure the sale of qualitative goods and keeping a strict vigil in the area. DC Ramban has also directed Executive Engineer PDD Batote to ensure the uninterrupted power supply in the Imam Bara Chanderkote during night hours during the days of observance of Moharram and to establish a medical camp near Imam Bara besides making available an Ambulance and doctor on the day of procession.
