| J&K NCP condemns attack on union minister ‘Pawar’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: An emergency meeting was convened here today under presidentship of former minister and state Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Thakur Randhir Singh in which members condemned the brutal and undemocratic attack on Union Minister for Agriculture and National President NCP Sharad Pawar.
“It is very unfortunate that no security cover has been provided by the Ministry of Home and Sharad Pawar who himself has raised the price rise issue even being the partner of UPA but the attack upon such a person is highly condemnable,” Thakur Randhir Singh said.
Members in this meeting demanded the strong action against the culprit, State NCP and unanimously passed a resolution condemning attack on the senior most leader of the country Sharad Pawar during a function in NDMC Center New Delhi.
Meanwhile NCP President Thakur Randhir Singh talked to Sharad Pawar and his daughter Mrs Supriya Sule MP to convey them the party cadre’s feelings after gruesome incident. Other senior leaders of state NCP who condemned the attack Kamal Gupta, J A Khan, Ashok Jain, AmritSagar, R S Billowaria, Sham Singh, Sudershan Choudhary, Rajinder Singh Katoch, Bodh Raj Salaria, Tejinder Singh, Gulab Chand Bhagat, Ashok Singh, Bansi Lal Sodhi, Tariq Nar, Prof P D Shastri, Prof Romal Singh, Col Amar Singh and others.
