| Centre agrees to set up gas agency at block levels in J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: The Jammu and Kashmir government today said the Centre has agreed to set up gas agencies at block levels in the state soon, to ensure adequate supply of the cooking fuel.
"In order to provide adequate supply of cooking gas to the people of the state, especially to those living in far-flung rural areas, the Centre has agreed to set up gas agencies at block level shortly," state's Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Qamar Ali Akhoon said. He said one gas agency is proposed to be set up in a block where population is 600 and above. Akhoon called upon the oil companies to make available adequate stock of LPG cylinders. |
