| Semis lineup drawn in Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tourney | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Nov 24: Semifinals position has been cleared in the Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament as Government Degree College, Udhampur, MAM College, Jammu, Commerce College, Jammu and Post Graduate Department , University of Jammu qualified for the semis at Government Degree College, Kathua today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal and Dr Nater Singh Principal interacted with the players on the occasion. They were accompanied by Prof Gopal Sharma, Dr NK Gupta, Dr Janak Singh, Prof PK Rao, Prof Sandeep Chaudhary, Prof Anoop Sharma and Dr Balbinder Singh.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, Degree College Udhampur thrashed Reasi by 3-0 and the score remained 25-15, 25-23 and 25-22.
In another match, MAM College, Jammu, outplayed Akhnoor College again by 3-0 and the score remained 14-25, 15-20 and 14-25. The highlight of this match was the splendid performances by Ajay Randhwa and Surjit.
In other quarterfinal, Commerce College, Jammu gave trounced GGM Science College, Jammu by 2-1 with the set scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-18.
Fourth and the last quarterfinal match of the day was played between PG Department, Jammu University and Degree College, Samba, in which PG Department defeated scripted 3-1 win and the score remained 25-21, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-13. Ansh Verma and Rahul Sambyal displayed their skill upto the optimum level in this match.
This tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Dr Rajinder from Jammu University and his associates Mulkh Raj Sharma and Naresh Sharma , while the matches are being officiated by Pawan Sharma, Uttam Singh, Mohinder Sharma, Parveen Singh and Sanjay Kumar.
