IMFAA seeks enquiry of backdoor appointments in JKAACL | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 24: Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) alumni has demanded enquiry into the appointment made by former secretary Zaffar Iqbal Manhas during his tenure and sought quashing of the same at the earliest. In a handout issued here today, President IMFAA Ashwani Sharma has alleged that JKAACL appointed relatives and household servants of a National Conference (NC) MLC vide Academy order No. 24 of 2011, dated September 12, 2011. He further alleged that orders were issued to adjust 20 candidates. Ashwani Sharma said that cultural academy appointed fourth class employees despite the fact that offices in the districts like Udhampur, Kathua, Poonch, Kupwara, Baramulla are yet to be opened. Manisha Sharma said deserving candidates were rejected to promote Manhas legacy in cultural academy. Other IMFAA members also demanded the government to constitute an enquiry committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Madhav Lal and new Secretary Atul Dullo (IAS) to ascertain the amount of money embezzled from 2006 to this time.
