Pistol snatcher arrested, claims Police | | | Srinagar, Nov 25 (KNS): Police on Friday claimed that it arrested a youth in Sopore town and recovered the pistol snatched from an Army man on November 11 during Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s public rally. SP Sopore Imtiyaz Hussain told KNS that Mudasir Ahmad Dar (20) was arrested today. “He is a foot solider of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and is an orphan. He has two sisters,” he said. Mudasir had allegedly snatched the pistol from Naik Kamlesh Kumar Mishra during a public rally on November 11. Imtiyaz claimed that Mudasir was planning to give the snatched pistol to the militants. “But before he could do it, we arrested him,” Hussian added. Sources told KNS that the police have also arrested six more persons in the incident. However, the SP didn’t divulge the further details. “Law will take its own course of action and whosoever is involved will be arrested,” he added.
