| CBI presents challan against cashier of J&K Grameen Bank | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 25: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)/Anticorruption Bureau Srinagar today presented a challan in the Court Special Judge Anticorruption for CBI Cases J&K, Jammu against cashier J&K Grameen Bank Branch Kupwara for allegedly committing fraud to the tune of Rs 19, 12, 500/- by making fictitious credit/debit entries in the ledger and bank documents of various accounts holders of the said bank.
According to CBI spokesperson, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)/Anticorruption Bureau Srinagar today presented a challan in the Court Special Judge Anticorruption for CBI Cases J&K, Jammu against Javed Habib Khuroo cashier J&K Grameen Bank Branch Kupwara for allegedly committing fraud to the tune of Rs 19, 12, 500/- by making fictitious credit/debit entries in the ledger and bank documents of various accounts holders of the said bank.
During the investigation of the case, the loss to the bank was recovered from Javed Habib Khuroo after his confession before the Senior Officers, yet committing of offence of forgery, cheating, misappropriation besides abuse of his official position, clearly stand proved against Javed Habib Khuroo then Cashier J&K Grameen Bank Branch Kupwara and after completion of the investigation challan u/s 5409/420/467/468/471/477-A RPC r/w section 5(2) 5(1) (c) (d) of J&K PC Act 2006.
