PDP migrant wing highlights woes of KPs | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , November 25 : President of migrant wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ashok Bhat has lambasted National Conference led coalition regime for its failure to solve problems of the Kashmiri Pandit migrants. He said that except promises coalition regime has done nothing to mitigate misery of the displaced community. In a statement issued here today, Bhat said that coalition regime has totally failed to provide basic amenities to Kashmiri Pandit for both sections whether migrants or non migrant. He maintained that the Centre has provided huge funds for rehabilitating the Kashmiri Pandit shifting migrants to Jagti township from the migrant camps. Furthermore a special PM Employment Package was announced for the displaced people. “Due to lackadaisical attitude of the present regime both the package failed”, he said and added that in Jagti township the buildings have posed a threat to life of the migrants residents due to cracks on floors and walls which indicates the use of sub standard material for the construction of building. He further said that 1765 employees were recruited under the PM package in the Valley but government has failed to provided them proper accommodation. Terming implementation of PM Package a complete failure. Ashok Bhat said the government was not serious to resolve the pending issues and such tactics were cruel joke for Kashmiri Pandits. Bhat also highlighted that migrants employees who left from the Valley in the year 1989-90 but their service records seniority promotion and other vital data not maintained.
