| Gupta chairs PAC meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 25: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Legislative Assembly met under the Chairmanship of MLA Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta here today.
The meeting discussed threadbare the progress made on the decisions taken in previous meetings and working of the Committee. It decided that the Committee would examine reasons mentioned in the audit para (2008-09) pertaining to Power Development Department (PDD) that caused delay in completion of laying of the transmission lines.
The chairman directed the Secretary Assembly to seek information about general working of the PDD so that the same could be examined also.
The Legislators, Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz, Mr. Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Mr. Jagdesh Raj Soplia, Syeed Bhasrat Ahmad Bukhari, Smt. Bimla Luthra and Mr. Naresh Kumar Gupta gave their suggestions to improve the working of the Committee.
Senior Officers of Assembly Secretariat including Additional Secretary Mr. Mulak Raj attended the meeting.
