| One day training programme on Aspects of Organic Farming in Commercial Floriculture held at Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 25- One day inter District Training programme on Aspects of Organic Farming in Commercial Floriculture was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra R.S Pura Jammu under the Chairmanship of Director Floriculture Jammu Mr. K.K Sharma.
Director Floriculture asked the farmers for adopting Organic Farming and availing benefits of centrally sponsored schemes specially Vermicompost and Protected cultivation.
The resource person from SUKAST (J) Prof Rakesh Nanda, gave a detailed presentation on organic farming and stress farmers to go for Vermicompost for their cost effectiveness in their agriculture products.
Dr B.R. Bazayafrom SUKAST (J) gave a practical demonstration on Vermicompost.
S. Tejinder Singh, President Flowers Growers Association, said that it is the best time to go for diversification where govt have been provided lots of incentives for diversification in Agriculture production.
S.R.S Bali Dy. Director Floriculture Jammu, Vikrant Sharma A.F.O Jammu Istaq Ahmed A.F.O. Samba Kathua were also present in the programme.
