| Taj reviews supply position of LPG, K. Oil | | | JAMMU, JANUARY 09 In order to overcome shortage of LPG and Kerosene oil in Kashmir valley, the Minister for Consumer Affair and Public Distribution Mr.Taj Mohi-ud-Din has directed Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporations to ensure smooth and adequate supply of LPG in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley. He directed Indian Oil Corporations to make 5000 cylinders available to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited at Srinagar for maintaining smooth supply to the consumers. Mr. Taj asked Indian Oil Corporation to also reserve about 11000 LPG cylinder over and above the requirement storage to meet emergency demand in case of National High Way blockade. Minister for CAPD was presiding over a meeting conveyed here yesterday to take stock of the shortage and supply position of the LPG and K. oil in Kashmir valley especially in Srinagar. The meeting decided that Commissioner Secretary CAPD will visit Delhi to take up the matter with the Ministry of Petroleum regarding establish bottling plant in Kashmir valley. The Minister asked the Director CAPD Kashmir to ensure the public is not put to any inconvenience with regard to LPG and as kerosene oil during the current harsh winter. Among others heads of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation and others were present in the meeting.
