SRINAGAR, JULY 31 – Several issues of public importance were raised in the zero hour in the Legislative Assembly by various members. These related to compensation on account of damage to crops due to hailstorm in various areas, release of wages to IWDP workers, completion of road works taken in hand by LAWDA, release of ex-gratia to the militancy affected families, provision of teaching staff in schools, regarding the duty of drug and food inspectors, opening up of new public health centres and upgradation of medical facilities in hospitals, upgradation of roads in various roads, development works in Kupwara, implementation of board decisions, difficulties of people on account of mines in border areas, absorption of ITI trained persons, compensation to the shopkeepers whose shops got gutted in the fire, problems of people on accounts of visits of VVIPs, upgradation of tehsils, enhancement of salaries of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers, shortage of transformers, problems of quarry workers, shortage of staff, BPL ration, honorarium to Namberdars and Chowkidars, re-location of Assembly Complex and matters of SRO 43, The members which raised the issues included Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia, Syed Bashir Ahmad, Ms. Kanta Andotra, Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz, Dr. Manohar Lal, Mr. Mohammad Syed Akhoon, Mr. Sajjad Kitchloo, Dr. Mehboob Baig, Mr. Jugal Kishore, Mr. Gharu Ram, Mr. Sartaj Madni, Th.
