| NCC Day organized at Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , November 26 : As a part of NCC Day 2011 celebrations, a colourful parade was organized in Higher Secondary School Rajouri Boys by joint efforts of Koshal Khajuria and Mtr Mahmooda Lone the NCC officers of their respective schools .
Principal Pradeep Kumar Sharma took the guard of honour and thereafter a colourful programme was organized in auditorium with in the premises .
NCC theme song was presented by the corps within in the premises.
NCC Day is celebrated each year on November 26 .In fact this day is of great significance for all NCC Cadets and institutions holding the NCC. Refreshment was provided on the spot to the corps.
While speaking on the occasion chief Guest Principal Pardeep Kumar told the cadets the importance and duties of cadets and threw light on the NCC Organization.
He added, that the origin of NCC can be traced back to the ‘University Corps’, which was created under the Indian Defence Act 1917, with the object to make up the shortage of the Army.
