| zad writing to Antony about J&K residents working outside state | | | Jammu, January 09 While speaking to press here today on reported beating of one Kashmiri scholar as put out by a news channel, Aaj Tak, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that no harassment to any respected citizen of Jammu and Kashmir working outside the state by army or police should happen altogether. Chief Minister said that he is taking up the issue of apprehending Jammu and Kashmir residents by army outside the state with Defence Minister Mr. A. K. Antony urging that before initiating investigations on suspicion with respect to any J&K resident studying or working outside the state, army should consult Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure that no innocent is put to harassment. He said he had already taken up this issue with Chief Ministers of various states who positively responded, assuring that every care will be taken that no innocent J&K resident gets harassed in their states in the process of actions against anti-national elements. He said not only Chief Ministers of the states where Congress is in power, Chief Ministers of opposition ruled states have also positively responded and taking every care in this regard. |
