ADC submits report against Hajeej Tour operators | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 26:Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Muhammed Akbar Ganai, furnished his enquiry report against tour operator M/s Hajeej India Pvt. Ltd. to Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today. In the enquiry it has been said that all the 500 passports have been recovered and are in possession of the SDPO Khanyar and the passports are being released to the passport holders in accordance with the law. The enquiry officer has recommended that the immoveable property in the name of Arsalan Wahid Gilkar son of Abdul Wahid Gilkar (owner of Hajeej) namely Hotel at Ajmeer, a flat at Ghaziabad and house at Harwan be confiscated and put to auction after completing legal formalities. The enquiry officer has further suggested that there should be a proper mechanism available with the government to check and monitor the functioning of these tour operators. It has been recommended that only those travel agencies which are registered with Hajj Committee of India or are accredited with Ministry of External Affairs Government of India should be allowed to function. Director tourism shall audit all such tour operators and travel agencies which are involved in this trade and no tour operator shall be allowed to do business regarding Hajj and Umrah unless it has obtained NOC from the J&K State Hajj Committee.
