Kashmir valley shivers as mercury dips | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 26:Kashmir Valley shivered in the winter chill today as the minimum temperature dropped below freezing point. In Srinagar, the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 0.2 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg experienced minus 2 degrees. "The night temperatures throughout the valley fell below the freezing point for the first time in this season," a weather official said. The Leh town in the Ladakh region recorded minimum of minus 10 degrees while the minimum temperature at Pahalgam witnessed temperature at minus 3.6 degrees. Qazigund town experienced minus 2.2 degrees where as Kupwara recorded minus 0.2 degrees. According to weather department, the prevailing cold and dry weather conditions would continue till the end of this month and the night temperature would fall further across the valley and the Ladakh region.
