BJP High Command seeks report from state unit on role of another MLA | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 26: Perturbed over the reports questioning the role of one more Party MLA in cross voting of April 14 Legislative Council elections, the BJP High Command has sought a detailed report from State Party unit. According to sources the Party High Command was astonished to read the news reports regarding the secret meeting of one of the senior leaders of the Party and its MLA with Advisor to Chief Minister and his proximity with NC leadership. The High Command has also decided to summon all the remaining Party MLAs to Delhi again to ascertain their position on cross voting issue a fresh, sources said, adding however there will be no roll revocation of the expulsion decision of seven MLAs who were reportedly involved in cross voting. Sources said the seven MLAs who have already been expelled from the Party have also decided to challenge the decision. Pleading innocence they said that there was no mechanism available with the Party on the basis of which it can single out them. However Party sources said that the High Command may also go into details regarding the link of its senior leader and MLA with the NC leadership and the favours sought by him from the Government from time to time. Though the MLA is enjoying the support of one of the senior leaders at Delhi has already termed the allegations totally baseless. He has termed the allegations a handiwork of the expelled MLAs and his detractors. Sources said that the High Command is also not satisfied with the working of the state unit and it has also sought an explanation from state Party chief for not making the announcement regarding the expulsion of seven MLAs by himself. The High Command has sought an explanation from state Party chief that why he averted making an announcement about the important party decision and instead asked a junior leader of the party to make an announcement in this regard. Sources said the BJP High Command showing its displeasure with the working of state chief has viewed seriously his style of working and alleged that he has failed to keep the flock together in the state. |
