Illegally felled timber seized at Purmandal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 27: Illegally felled timber wood was today seized by police at Purmandal in Samba. The wood was seized on a tip-off provided by some people of Purmandal, according to official sources. Over 54 trees had been unauthorisedly felled by the timber smugglers and store at a particular place. The smugglers had a fake permission of divisional forest officer, Jammu, to transport the wood, the sources added. Though police had registered a case in this regard, the accused were yet to be rounded up.
