Army organizes medical and dental camp at Pamrot | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , November 27 : As part of welfare activities under Operation Sadbhavna a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) organised a medical and dental camp at Pamrot . The camp was inaugurated by the Commander Sector Rashtriya Rifles in the presence of eminent people. The aim of the camp was to provide medical aid to the local populace hailing from remote villages of Pamrot, Faisalabad, Pir Baba, Ladi Gali, Chitibiti, Behar, Nad, Sangla, Chirala, Patian, Kopra and other populated areas of Surankote Tehsil. A team of doctors from Army which included a gynecologist, pediatrician, dental officer, ophthalmologist and doctors from the civil administration along with supporting paramedic staff provided the much needed medical help and diagnostic advice. More than 600 patients including 220 ladies and 140 children were given required medical care and advice. In the camp Dr Iftikhar Ahmed, BMO Surankot addressed the people on benefit of immunization of children, control measures for family planning and precautions to be taken to prevent common cold problems quite prevalent in winter season. Barkat Hussain, Sarpanch Dandidhara while speaking to the media thanked the army and civil officials present at camp and said that he and his villagers were very happy to receive treatment from such qualified doctors. Aslam Kohli, Sarpanch Kallar Kattal stated that he was elated to see army and civil administration set up working hand in glove. Mohammad Ramzan, Sarpanch Lower Sangla said that more such camps should be organised from time to time as people from far flung areas hardly get an opportunity to go to doctor due distance, time and money factor. Commander Rashtriya Rifles congratulated the team of army and civil doctors for their contribution in the successful conduct of this camp.
