| Passenger tax defaulters penalised, Rs 32900 realised as fine | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 28:Excise & Taxation Officer, In-charge Passenger Taxation, Jammu Naresh Kumar Sharma alongwith executive staff of Passenger Taxation Wing of Commercial Taxes Department under the supervision of Additional Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Adm.) R. K. Koul conducted checking of Commercial Passenger Vehicles on different routes of Udhampur, Ramban, Kishtwar and Doda Districts.
Overall 256 vehicles were checked and a penalty amounting to Rs 32900 was recovered on spot from the passenger tax defaulters. Documents of eleven vehicles were also seized for non-payment of passenger tax.
