Bovine smugglers held, 4 bovines rescued | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 28:Police have arrested two bovine smugglers who were transporting four bovines in a bus for Kashmir valley. During a specially organised naka at Babliana Road, a police party of police post Gadigarh intercepted a video coach Bus bearing registration no. JK13/7905 and subjected it to thorough checking during which four cattle tied with ropes in a cruel way in the bus were recovered. The driver of bus and his associate were immediately arrested and bus was seized. The driver has been identified as Nisar Ahmed son of Gh. Ahmed of Channapura District Budgam where as his associate turned out to be Farooq Ahmed son of Abdul Salam Dar of Budgam. During investigation it surfaced that they had loaded cattle from Maralian, Miran Sahib and were bound to smuggle the bovines to Kashmir valley. A case FIR No. 199/2011 under section 188 RPC, 3 P.C.A Act has been registered at police station Satwari and further investigation is going on.
