| Gang of robbers busted in Kulgam | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Nov 28:A gang of robbers was busted in DH Pora, Kulgam when Kulgam police arrested six members of the gang.
During the intervening night of November 22 and 23, some masked persons pretending to be militants barged in to the house of Haji Mohammad Yousuf Gojri resident of Bangward, Kulgam in the jurisdiction of police station DH Pora and demanded Rupees 2 lakh from him.
The inmates raised hue and cry forcing the robbers to flee. However, the robbers took away some cash from the inmates.
The gang of robbers had struck earlier also, when they entered in the house of Nazir Ahmad Kala son-in-law of Ghulam Qadir and Haji Mir Hussian Tenda and extorted Rupees 5,000/=, and two mobile phones.
DH Pora police registered a case FIR NO. 116/2011 under section 384, 456 RPC. During the investigation, police succeeded in identifying the robbers and after raiding many places arrested the members of the gang. Police arrested Ghulam Qadir Gojri son of Fayaz Ahmad, Sartaj Ahmad Gojri son of Bashir Ahmad, Nisar Ahmad Gorsi son of Abdullah, Fayaz Ahmad Lone son of Ahad, Mohammad Ashraf Gorsi son of Gulla residents of Yarikha and Ghulam Qadir Gorsi son of Ibrahim resident of K.B Pora.
