BJYM supports agitating students of Jammu province | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 28:To register protest against the State Government’s “New Recruitment Policy”, activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) under the leadership of Morcha State President Munish Sharma, held a massive protest outside the Raj Bhawan on Monday. They were carrying party flags and placards with slogans like —”withdraw the New Recruitment Policy” and “Omar Abdullah hosh mein aao”. Munish Sharma, while addressing the protesting activists, said that there has been widespread resentment among the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the educated youth and the students in particular, against the recent decision of Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition government for its decision under which a new non gazetted recruit will get only 50 per cent of the basic pay for the first two years and later 75 per cent for the next period. Such a recruitment policy exists no where, not only in India but abroad also. He said that today even a labourer earns more than Rs. 7500, while the state government’s recent policy has fixed just Rs. 2800 per month for its new employee, which is unjustified and exploitation of the educated unemployed youth. Reiterating the BJYM’s full support to the agitating students of Jammu province, Munish Sharma said that thousands of boys and girls of different educational institutions are on the roads for the past few weeks but the Jammu based ministers and leaders of Congress and National Conference have not shown any concern for the genuine cause, which has totally exposed these parties for their unstinted support to the anti-Jammu and anti-youth policies of the Kashmir-centric coalition government. He said that the BJP and its Yuva Morcha have always been raising the voice of the Jammuites and its youth and is committed to oppose tooth and nail any such decision or policy which is aimed at depriving the educated unemployed youth of Jammu province from getting jobs on pay scales which are been given to the existing government employees.
