4 Bovines smugglers held

Jammu, Nov 28: Continuing with its special drive against bovine smuggling Jammu Police arrested two bovine smugglers who were transporting four bovines in a cruel way in a bus for Kashmir valley.
During a specially organised Naka at Babliana Road, a Police party of Police Post Gadigarh intercepted a video coach Bus bearing registration no. JK13/7905 and subjected it to thorough checking during which four cattle tied with ropes in a cruel way in the bus were recovered. The driver of bus and his associate were immediately arrested and bus seized. The driver has been identified as Nisar Ahmed S/o Gh. Ahmed R/O Channapura District Budgam where as his associate turned out to be Farooq Ahmed S/O Abdul Salam Dar R/O Budgam. During the investigation it surfaced that they had loaded cattle i.e. one cow and three calves from Maralian, Miran Sahib and were bound to smuggle the bovines to Kashmir valley.
A case FIR No. 199/2011 U/S 188 RPC, 3 P.C.A Act has been registered at P/S Satwari and further investigation is going on.
