| UFJA criticizes selection for ‘Dogra Rattan Awards’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Udhampur Freelance Journalist Association (UFJA) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Parvesh Parihar criticized the Council for Promotion of Dogri Language, Culture and History organization for making selection of people for Dogra Rattan award.
Freelance Journalist members expressed their great anguish and concern with organizing committee and Professor Bhim also who is a Convener of the Council for Promotion of Dogri Language, Culture and History as no single award was given to any other personality haling from other districts of Jammu province and people were selected from Jammu district only.
Association member Anil Paba and Prevesh Parihar criticized selection committee and questioned the criteria framed for selection for award which is concern for every Dogra.
Association members question definition of Dogra people from organizing committee and said that there are number of distinguish writers in Kishtwar , Doda , Udhampur , Kathua , Poonch and in Rjaouri districts but not a single person from any field was given Dogra Rattan Awrad is quite amazing .
Speakers said that Prof Nirmohi from Udhampur has written dozen of books for the promotion of Dogra culture and has been awarded by Prime Minister of country and with several other awards but his name too could not figured in selection list framed by award committee which indicates politics involved in selecting person for award and step motherly treatment to other districts.
