Bifurcation of State Level AYUSH | AJKAC expresses concern over delay | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 29:All Jammu & Kashmir Ayurvedic Congress (AJKAC) has expressed anguish and deep concern for unnecessary delay in bifurcation of present State Level AYUSH Directorate and subsequent establishment of Provincial Directorates for both divisions of the State, which is essential for meaningful development practice and perception of Ayurveda in the State. Working committee of Jammu & Kashmir Chapter of All India Ayurvedic Congress met today under the Chairmanship of Dr Satya Gupta its State President. The meeting was attended by Dr H N Patwari, Dr T R Gupta, Dr Ashok Gupta, Dr B D Gupta, Dr B R. Sharma, Dr Niwas Gupta, Dr Prabhakar Dev, Dr OP Gupta and all District Presidents. Various significant issues concerning AYUSH Department were discussed, besides organizational matters. It will be pertinent to point out here that High Power Finance Committee which was constituted for eradicating inadequacies and restructuring of various departments. In its report has recommended the bifurcation of present state level directorate and establishment of provincial AYUSH directorates Hence it is impressed upon State Govt. to undertake necessary administrative initiative in this regard without further delay. AJKAC has further demanded opening of Govt Ayurvedic College at Jammu, in the light of sanctioned announcement made by Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare besides regularization of 95 newly opened dispensaries.
