Local bodies’ employees stage protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Nov 29: Urban Local Bodies Employees today staged a protest rally demanding release of salary as per the re-organisation pattern of the department at 61 percent HRA/DA, regularization of daily wagers and release of wages at Rs 3750 instead of Rs 1800 and Rs 2100. The protesting employees also raised demand for transparent time bound transfer policy and release of 20 percent 6th pay commission arrears. General Secretary EJAC (Q), Farooq Ahmad Trali said that there were hundreds of employees working in the departments without the notification of the posts. “We demand an enquiry into the matter,” he added. Protestors also demand service-recruitment rules and creation of various posts as approved under SRO-214. Besides, these demands they also wanted quick and speedy disposal of time bound family pension, leave salary and SRO-43. Meanwhile, a peaceful procession was taken out in which employees took part and shout slogans for the fulfillment of their demands. Manzoor Ahmad Pampori, Vice president EJAC (Q) lead the procession and requested employees to maintain unity and adhere to the future programme of the union which would be published in the press after the meeting of the Majlis Amla scheduled on December 3.
