Forty percent Trainee found Diabetic at SKPA Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur Nov 29Forty percent of the total recruits at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) have been found diabetic after tests were conducted upon them in a free Check up camp organized by Rotary Club Jammu in SKPA yesterday. Talking with media persons, Dr Dushyant of Rotary Club Jammu said that in random tests more than forty percent of the total recruits were found diabetic which is a alarming rate. He added that the tests were conducted with advanced modern machines and scope of error is very less. He added that majority of recruits who were found positive after tests were not diabetic earlier as per their case history narrated by them and training stress may be cause for it. Doctors said that need is to change eating habits of trainees and make suitable arrangements to keep them stress free . However, when MOS Home Nasir Aslam Wani was asked about it he said that stress is main reason behind diabetic which is commonly found in common man and police personnel. He added that figure of diabetics will be taken seriously and steps will be initiated to ease pressure and nothing to worry about. He added that so far the tests conducted couldn’t be taken as confirmative tests as they could vary . The SKPA administration has also raised fingers upon the results of tests conducted to identify diabetic patients .They said that these are not reliable tests and such a number is not possible as trainees are being tested regularly
