BJP Beopar Cell’s dharna against FDI in retail today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 29:BJP Beopar Cell and Industry Cell will hold protest dharna tomorow at Purani Mandi Chowk against Congress-led UPA government’s recent decision allowing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of state office bearer BJP Beopar Cell and Industry Cell held at party hqrs. on Tuesday under the leadership of Beopar Cell State Convenor Anil Gupta. Anil Gupta, while expressing party’s concern over the decision said that if not withdrawn, it will have dangerous consequences and lead to the starvation of retail shopkeepers and Industrial people as well as their dependents. He said that its direct impact on the common man, particularly the Shopkeepers and Industrial people, will prove to be of too much loss. He said that being a responsible political party, BJP has been raising voice against all such decisions, which harm the interests of common people and is committed to oppose this recent decision tooth and nail. In the initial stage, the BJP Beopar Cell and Industry Cell will organize a protest dharna tomorrow with a motive to present facts and harmful impact of the decision over FDI. He declared that the BJP at the national level has extended full support to December 1 Bharat Bandh and the State unit too stands by the party high command’s decision to support bandh in Jammu and Kashmir also. He appealed the traders, shopkeepers and businessmen to join the scheduled dharna in large numbers. Prominent among those who expressed their views in the meeting included Rajnish Jain, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Vikram Randhawa, Sanjay Khanna, Veeresh Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Rajesh Khullar and others.
