IAS officer guides Civil Services students | | | early times report JAMMU, Nov 29: A young IAS officer of the State, Mohd Aijaz Frazi deliberated the need of focused studies and to the point replies to the questions asked in the Civil Services examinations at the state and the national level. Invited on a brief interaction-cum-lecture arranged by the SR College of Competitions for IAS/KAS students, Aijaz spoke in length about Essay Writing part of the paper and also disseminated the knowledge he posses with regard to General Studies and Current Affairs. He said that the topic of the Essay should be chosen after proper brainstorming and deliberation. "Essay should be written creatively, coherently and concisely with logical connectivity between paragraphs," Aijaz told the students. He cautioned the target students regarding use of superfluous and decorative words while expressing their views in Essay writing. "A good Essay begins and ends at a logical conclusion within constraints of words and time," he said. While guiding the students about General Studies and Current Affairs, he said that the focus should be on bilateral relations and national issues. "Regular reading of a good newspaper like The Hindu would certainly help in keeping you update," said Aijaz.
