Ranji Trophy Plate Group-B Match | J&K posts 302/8 against Maharashtra on Day 1 | | early times report JAMMU, Nov 29: Powered by a superb knock of 88 runs by opening batsman Adil Reshi, Jammu and Kashmir scored a reasonably decent score of 302 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 90 overs at stumps on Day-1 of the 4-day match of the ongoing Ranji Trophy Plate Group B against Mahrastra at Chatrapati Shivaji Stadium, Ratnagiri in Mahrastra. Samiullah Beigh was unbeaten on 28 and Abid Nabi on 2 when the stumps were drawn today. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K received the early blow when the opener Ian Dev Singh was trapped LBW in the third over of the match at his individual score of just one run and the team's total of 12 runs. SM Fallah of was the wicket taker. However, Adil Reshi and number three batsman Manish Dogra consolidated the innings and contributed 116 runs for the second wicket partnership. For Maharashtra, AK Darekar was the pick of the bowlers, who took four important wickets by spending 60 runs in 24 overs, while SM Fallah and DJ Muthuswami claimed two wickets each. Youngster Shubam Khajuria is making debut in Ranji Trophy for J&K. |
