Comdr, 2IC held by CBI red handed with graft of Rs 23,000 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 29: A Commander and 2IC (second in Command) of Border Road Task Force (BRTF) were caught red handed while accepting an enticement of Rs 23000 by the sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headed by Amandeep Singh, SP CBI, sources said. Sources said that following a complaint from one M/S Santosh Electric Work alleging that Colonel K.V Pratap and his associate Second in Command Colonel Jatinder Kumar Singh posted at Headquarters of 35, BRTF at Udhampur are demanding graft for the release of his pending amount worth Rs fourteen lakh eighty five thousand, three hundred and seventy one and accordingly a case was registered followed by a trap. "A case under FIR NO 8/2011 has been registered against both of them, sources said further adding that trap was laid and the CBI sleuths arrested both commandant and second commandant red handed while taking graft of Rs 23,000 from contractor. Sources said that the questioning of the two senior officials is in progress and more scams are expected to be erupted from their disclosure. |
