Chib visits Gwalior Phy. Edu. University | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT GWALIOR, NOVEMBER 30- Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R. S. Chib visited the Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education(LNUPE), Gwalior her today. Interacting with the staff members and students, Mr. Chib appreciated the role and contribution of this University in strengthening the physical Education structure in the country in imparting the knowledge to the younger generation. Vice Chancellor, Maj. General Pawar in his power point presentation explained different activities being carried out by the University in different areas of sports and physical education. Mr. Chib said Jammu and Kashmir has suffered a lot in the field of sports as most of its sports infrastructures were damaged during last 20 years. However, he said a lot of steps have been taken up by the present Government Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah to repair the same and lot of new projects have been taken to provide better infrastructure in Urban as well as rural areas. Mr. Chib also thanked the Government of India, espacilly Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mr. Ajay Maken for grant of liberal funds for creation of new infrastructures. Mr. Chib made a special reference regarding PYKKA Resources Centre being run by the Institute, for providing training to master trainer so that PYKKA Schemes can be implemented in different States as per the plan. He requested the VC, LNUPE, Gwalior for training more participants from J&K and said that we can work-out some sort of understanding to carry out the program. He also extended invitation to the VC,LNUPE, Gwalior to organize a leadership training camp, in J&K during the coming summer vacations and assured full cooperation and support in organizing the camp. Registrar Dr. L.N. Sarkar, Deputy Registrars Mr. M. P Singh, Mr. Shashi Bhushan and Assistant Registrars Mr. N.L. Rohira and Mr. N.K. Tiwari besides other officers of LNUPE, Gwalior University were attending the program. Earlier, on his arrival at the University Vice Chancellor Maj. General Pawar expressed hearty thanks to the Minister and presented a shawl and Memento to him.
